Feed the House

Catherine’s House serves women and children facing homelessness due to a variety of circumstances such as: domestic violence, un/underemployment, the shortage of affordable housing, unexpected tragedies, and the lack of a support network. When women enter the 4 month program, a Program Plan is developed based on her personal situation, her strengths and her current needs. Then, using the program components of

each resident is empowered with skills, information and the confidence she needs to regain – then sustain – a healthy and productive life. In this way, Catherine’s House is not just a place to stay…but a place to grow.

FUMCB provides support to Catherine’s House throughout the year in various ways but most specifically through providing a meal for the residents twice a month. You are invited to join this body in caring for our neighbors who are actively  involved in rebuilding their lives after extreme hardship.  The meal you prepare can be homemade or store bought.  The meal is dropped off at 5:30 in disposable containers freeing you to leave within minutes of dropping off the meal. Your meal can also be delivered directly to Catherine’s House by a restaurant delivery service,  You can find out all the details about the meal and choose a date to commit to serve by clicking HERE.

If you have any questions about the meal please call our coordinator and church member, Cindy Meilike at 334-804-5166.
