Jesus Christ is alive and at work all around us. The challenge each of us faces is to be attentive and open to that work, and ready to respond when God calls us to get involved. The night before they are to enter the Promised Land, Joshua tells God’s people,
“Make yourselves holy, because tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”
He urges to expect something incredible and to be ready for God to act. This scripture is at the heart of our capital campaign theme, which is Ready. We want to be ready for all that God has in store for us as we welcome, worship and grow.
