Personal Growth

Personal Growth Activities

We love fellowship with our fellow church members and the community, but we also know it’s important to spend quality time alone with God. As a result, we offer several structured activities to help provide focus in this area.

ADULT SMALL GROUPS

In the fall, winter, and spring, small groups are offered on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30 p.m.  This follows our Meet in the Middle family dinner which starts at 5:30 p.m.  Each session two or three small group classes will be offered.  Click here to see more information on the current small group offerings.  Child care is provided. At different times throughout the year small groups are offered on a weekday during the day.  These small groups will follow along with the sermon series preached on Sunday.  Be sure to watch our Calendar page for dates and details.

SPEAKER EVENTS

We will invite experts in a particular field to come in and speak on topics that are relevant to what is going on in our lives.  These events are intended to grow us in our spiritual formation and our relationship with God.  Click here to see any upcoming speaker events and you can also check out our Calendar page for more information.

LENTEN PRAYER VIGIL

Stations are set up around the sanctuary to help participants enter into this time of reflection and prayer.  Children are invited and encouraged to join their parents during this time of prayer as stations are appropriate for a variety of ages.

ADVENT PRAYER VIGIL

Each Advent, our congregation is in prayer for a continuous 12-hour period on a Tuesday, praying for the needs of our world and community.  Participants sign up to enter into 30 minutes of personal, silent prayer-time in our sanctuary. A prayer guide is provided with prompts and Scripture reading to encourage your time in prayer.

QUIET DAYS APART

These periodic, intentional days away from normal routines, living space and busyness offer personal time with God in the support of like-spirited community. We provide themed readings, scripture, group reflection time, lunch and sacred personal space create a day of healing rhythm and holy stillness. Come with me by yourself to a quiet place and get some rest. Mark 6:31
