Join us on Sundays, Feb. 10 and 17 from 4:00-5:30 in Carpenter Hall, when Rev. Kim Ingram will lead us in a time together to learn more about the current discussion in The United Methodist Church around human sexuality. There will be a called special session of the General Conference, Feb. 23-26, in St. Louis to make decisions about the position of the United Methodist Church related to marriage and ordination. Kim will serve on the delegation from Western North Carolina. Over the past 3 years, The Commission on the Way Forward has studied this issue and has submitted proposals for the General Conference to consider at the upcoming meeting. Kim will tell us more about the considerations and will lead us in conversation together to better understand one another’s point of view and to prepare us for this upcoming conference. You are encouraged to come for both sessions as they will build on each other. However, if you are only available for one of them, please come to either one!
