Dahlia Grove
In February 2024 we are launching a new partnership with Dahlia Grove. This nonprofit organization empowers and employs women survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual exploitation. They provide a two-year rent-free restorative care home and resources for healing and recovery. Through their social enterprise Dahlia Grove provides catering services, handmade giftware, and event planning to provide job training and employment for survivors. They are a sister organization to the well-known Thistle Farms in Nashville, TN.
In partnership with Dahlia Grove, FUMCB is opening Carpenter Hall every Thursday from 11:45-1:15 for Dahlia Grove to provide us with a “Community Café”. A variety of lunch items will be prepared and served in our kitchen. Lunch items include some of their specialties such as the DG chicken salad, grilled turkey and tomato jam with brie and bacon on artisan bread, or a traditional broiled Italian sub. They even have grilled cheese and PB & J for the kids
Members are encouraged to come enjoy a delicious meal and consider a donation to the work of Dahlia Grove. Please tell your friends and neighbors about the Café’ and encourage them to come here for lunch on Thursdays. To learn more about Dahlia Grove or make a donation to their work, click here.
