What is God’s dream for First United Methodist Church in the years ahead? How is God calling us to be more like Jesus for our community and beyond? How is God calling us to live into our core values? What will we need to faithfully answer God’s call and live into who God wants us to be as a congregation?
As a part of the process of developing a master plan and deciding on our long term and immediate facility needs the Building and Renovation Committee has secured the services of ADW Architects in Charlotte, NC and invite you to participate in a visioning workshop to help answer these and other key questions. This visioning workshop will take place on Sunday, June 24 at 4:00 p.m. in Carpenter Hall. We will meet for about 1-1/2 hours.
You will be asked to join, according to your particular interests, one of the following teams:
- Worship – Music
- Gathering/Fellowship/Community Space
- Children’s Ministry (Birth –Grade 5)
- Youth Ministry (Grades 6-12)
- Adult Ministry
The first part of the visioning workshop will focus on visioning within each individual ministry team. Each ministry team will have a workbook with specific questions to be answered regarding their particular ministry. This “information gathering” meeting is designed to provide the Committee and ADW architects with information concerning the needs and vision of the different ministries within the church.
The second part of the visioning workshop will focus on sharing the outcome of each ministry teams vision to all those participating in the workshop. This meeting provides a unique opportunity to hear an overview of what these different ministries see for the future of First United Methodist Church of Belmont.
Your participation in these workshops is vital to the church and ADW Architects for the development of a Master Plan and Building Program.
