New Small Groups for Fall, 2021

On Wednesdays this fall, we’re offering some exciting small groups to dive deeper into faith, grow in our relationships with God, and build community with others in our church family.  Groups will meet on Wednesdays beginning September 15 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

To register, click here.

Small groups and childcare will also be offered for children and youth.  There’s something for everyone on Wednesdays at FUMC this fall!

Also, be sure to join us for our Meet in the Middle fellowship meals, which begin September 8 and continue through November 17.  There’s also a brief service of Holy Communion (15 minutes) at 5:15 each week.  Join us as you can!

Small Group Descriptions

Wondering About the Bible with Children    Led by Jennifer Martin.  It’s only a matter of time before a child asks difficult questions about the Bible.  Using Elizabeth Caldwell’s great book, this group will explore how we can, and should, encourage children to question and wonder about the Bible.  Especially for parents and leaders, this group will help deepen the ways we encourage children to build their faith by reading the Bible as a trusted resource for life.

Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times  Led by Vanessa Shrauder.  This group will explore Adam Hamilton’s book Unafraid and talk together about how to face and overcome the fears we feel about loneliness, illness, financial insecurity, disappointing others, failure, insignificance, and aging.

Life Together: The Classic Exploration of Faith in Community   Led by Pastor George.  This group will explore the short, simple, and classic work about building faith community by Dietrich Bonhoeffer to think deeply about the joy of life in Christ.  As we come out of the pandemic, this group aims to renew and encourage the practices of faith that strengthen and sustain our church family.
